Tabla (India)

No advanced culture has probably developed such a perfect rhythmic system in its music as the Indian civilization.
The Tabla is the highest example of this.
It is composed of two bodies of different shapes and sizes, one of low sonority (bhayan) and the other of high sonority (dhayan).
Both are equipped with a circle of paste (sihai) composed of magnesium, boiled rice and tamarind juice, thanks to which they obtain a particularly harmonious sound.
